BMW E28 M5. So after last weekend at a snowy Goodwood 76th Members Meeting and having driven like a dream all through rain and snow carrying four people and all our luggage / ski wear, the M5 started playing up the following day.
First of all, running a little lumpy, then clearing its throat and running lovely again once warmed through, the M5 later died again and now won’t start at all.
It’s now turning over but won’t fire up. The oil is both clean and at the correct level with no signs of water ingress. All leads seem to be connected and tight, too. The fuel had run a bit low, so I brimmed the tank before it died altogether (leading to me being run over by a F***ing Tesla of all things! But that’s another story) but I’m wondering if it’s picked up a bit of crap from the bottom of the tank…..
It is now seemingly without spark / fuel or maybe both!
If anyone has any ideas of a simple nature before I get it trailered to a garage, please let me know!!
