Trip to the Nurburgring Nordschleife, July 2017

A dodgy start to the weekend this time, my door blew off, yes, my door actually blew off of the car at 120mph!! It scared the s**t out of me and passenger, Snidey, as a hurricane of wind whirled around the small cabin!! We then had to find it in the dark and duck tape it back on sans mirror making the rest of the journey to the 'Ring a bit difficult.
Anyway, after the dramatic start, we had another great trip to the 'Ring, another quickest lap time for me with a new personal best of 8m14s BTG time in the Caterham 7 Supersport. Bobby got one lap in in the R32 GTR before a leaky diff. stopped play for him and Gazza in his E36 M3 Evo is getting quicker each visit, too. Twarnberry didn't come on this trip as he's a namby, but he has vowed to be back in 2018 with his E92 335i and is determined to be quicker than Big Gazza in the M3. Lots of mods coming, so we shall see!
Along for the ride, we also had Snidey (but no car again for the fifth(?) year in a row!!), Pinky & Monika.
Anyway, as always we had a great time including lots of piss taking, lots of beer at the Gasthaus Weber, lots of steak (on a stone at the Pistenklause) and chips, car issues, laughs and some more piss taking. Mainly aimed at Twarnberry for not being there!!
Roll on 2018 and another trip to The Green Hell!!
